Garlic-Flavored Gum

Uncle Jebediah's Gum Co.

Dear Random Citizen,

Thank you for trying our new flavor of gum. I like how you spit it out into that girls hair gaging, and then proceeded to offer it to a young boy. It was hilarious to watch him puke on his mother and get slapped. I'm not positive where the gum ended up or with who.

My School

My school is usually fun. The teachers don't always care what we do as long as we have all of our work done. The teachers usually make the classes fun. We learn as much as we should, if not more. I have a lot of classes with my friends. The teachers are really cool. My favorite teacher is Mr. Zustiak, he is the choir teacher and really funny. My favorite class is Social Studies because I like to learn about the past and what wars have happened between the U.S. and other countries. My favorite place to be is in the library because there are a lot of books and I like to read. I do not like when I can't get a book I really want or when there aren't anymore for me to read.

Modern Pangea

If, all of a sudden, the countries were smushed back together with the same borders, lots of things would happen. I think there would be wars that start up because of all of the pirates in Somalia and places like that looking to get money. All of the starving people from Africa could go over and be treated cause they wouldn't have to pay to leave. A lot of airports could be put out of use cause of the sudden movement. Volcanoes would probably erupt causing damage to property and making smoke cover the sky. People would be able to do more things cause traveling to other countries would cost less. Railroads would probably be made to all of the countries so you can get around easier and for cheaper.

What I Would do if I Won the Lottery

If I won a lot of money in any way, I would do lots of things. First I would pay to get through college, and buy a house and car so I can stay in a place and get around. Then after that I would put what is left in a bank account and every year donate a set amount to charity so it doesn't all go in case there are important local causes that I could help with.

Free Post

This is a free blog post, so I am going to talk about my Easter weekend. I went to my grandma's house on Friday night and got back Saturday night. I went there to help he with Easter. I helped make the baskets for all of the little kids. We went on an Easter Egg Hunt at one of the parks in St. Louis. I helped my sister and my Grandma's other grandchild by walking with them to find eggs. My brother went with one of her friends children and helped him. In the two nights I stayed there I had fun. I didn't do much stuff that wasn't for Easter except watch T.V. and play on my phone.

The Picture

Abraham Lincoln invented the radio. He made it so the northern states and the southern states had the same music to listen to and had something to talk about. They bonded by talking about the music instead of the war. Eventually the liked each other and ended up stopping the war. Now we have lots of music today and there is now war going on because of the invention of the radio and he is to thank for it all. If he hadn't invented that then would still be a war or two different countries, but there isn't so this was the best invention of all time.

My Project

My Favorite Book

My favorite book is actually a series. The first book in the series is called Insignia and the second is called Vortex and the third is called Catalyst. I haven't read the third because is ins't out yet. The first one is based on a boy named Tom. It is during World War 3 and he is a super smart kid. The U.S. government goes to him one day and has him play a game. He wins the game on his first try, better than everyone else. They take him to the pentagon, that now has a tower in the middle of it. He gets a microcomputer but into his brain and it helps him think better. All of the other kids there have it too. When the enemy of the war hacks into the he has a chance to kill some of the enemy's people, will he be able to.

Why I Do Not Like Free Blog Posts

I don't like free blog posts because then we have to think about what we want to write. Having to make something up to write about is hard, even though there are so many things to write about it's hard to pick one that's both interesting and you can write a lot about. They could be better if we started looking at what the prompt will be, but that's hard to remember to do with everything else going on. If I had ideas that could work I would try, but it's just hard to get a good one to write about. Another reason I don't like doing free posts is because I don't really have a lot to talk about.

-Build an igloo
-Build a snowman
-See who can stay there the longest without shoes and snow gear
-Make snow angels
-Build a fort
-Have a snowball fight
-Boil water and throw it off the porch
-Play video games
-Go to a friends house
-Read
-Watch T.V.
-Put them outside and lock the doors to the house

What I Want to be

When I am out of high school and going to college, I am going to study to be an Aerospace Engineer or an Architect. I would be fine with either of these because they both make enough money to support a family. Also because I am interested in designing and good at math, which both of these need. I would prefer to be an Aerospace Engineer because it takes more math and less people want to do that because they think it would be too much work. There are more people that want to be Architects because they think that would be easy. So overall, I want to be an Aerospace engineer the most, but I would be fine with being an Architect too.

Wal-mart

My favorite store is Wal-mart. Wal-mart is awesome because they sell almost anything there, and it is fun to explore. When you are exploring and you lose where something goes then you can just put it on a random shelf and walk away. When you need to go to a store, you should go to Wal-mart because they probably have what you need. If they don't have what you need, then you probably aren't looking good enough. If you need to go on a camping trip, you can buy tents, camp bags, flashlights, water proofing spray, and anything else you might need to go camping.

Free Blog Post

This is a free blog post, so I'm gonna talk about some of my friends. My best friends are: Michael, Joel, Chase, Bradley, and Mahala. Chase has only been at Festus for 2 years, but I was one of his first friends here, so me and him are good friends. Joel has been here since kindergarten, like me, but we met in first grade so that's when we became friends, and he is really smart and really tall. Michael has been my friend for a while, I don't really know how long, but he is funny. Bradley has been my friend since second grade, he is funny, and usually smart. Mahala has only been my friend for a few months, but she is still one of my best friends. She is understanding, she listens to what people have to say. That's why these people are top 5.

Pride

The movie "Pride" is based the 1960's to 1970's and  the main character (Jim Ellis) was a swimmer but he was also judged for being an African American. A few years later he was assigned to pack up an old rec. center, one day Jim let a few teenagers in because their basketball rim got taken away by the city; they swam in the pool, eventually they all became a team and when they went to the first meet they had, the other people judged all of the swimmers for being African American. The owner of the rec. center got a meet scheduled at his place. Before the meet the other team left because the were "sick". The team got named  P.D.R. for Pride, Determination, and Resilience. P.D.R. got to go to the state meet. Once they were there and competed in all of the individual events they were five points away from first place place. In the team relay, they got first place and took home the state championship trophy.

The Worst Things Parents Can Do To Their Kids

There are a lot of bad things parents can do to their kids, here some are. The parents could tell the kids that don't get to eat. The parents could lock them in a shack in the backyard for timeout. The parents could beat them. The parents could make them do worthless manual labor for no reason. The parents could keep them from getting an education. The parents could keep them from having friends. The parents could not let them have any pets.

My Family

There are 4 people in my family, my mom, my brother, my sister, and me. My sister is 6 and really smart for her age, but she talks all the time and gets in trouble for it a lot. My brother is 15, pretty good at driving for just starting, a good cook, funny, and smart. A lot of the time he messes around and gets in trouble for it. My mom is 37, good at baking, and a good picture taker. Last, there is me, I am 13, and I don't like to talk about myself so that's all I'm gonna say.

My Favorite Story

My favorite story when I was little was "The Three Little Pigs". I liked that book because it was short, fun to read, and had pictures to see. My favorite part was when the wolf could not get into the brick house because he couldn't blow it down. My least favorite part was when the wolf blew down the straw and the stick houses because the pigs that built them spent a lot of time working on them and he didn't even care. That was my favorite story when I was little.

The IPhonus

I would do a lot of things if I had this phone for a day. To start with I would use the Reparo app, and fix all of the thing I have if they needed to be fixed, next I would use the Marauders map and find out where some people are and then show them the phone and do some stuff with the phone with them, maybe use the spell apps on the bottom on some people and see what they do and how it feels when its used on me. Then use the extendable ear app at some random peoples houses and see what they are talking about.

Coding

I had a lot of fun when my class did the coding part of this subject. I thought the coding was fun because it was something that came easy to me. It was kind of easy for me because I have skills in the areas needed for it. There were only a few I had trouble on because there were some things I didn't know I could do, and if I did I probably wouldn't have had trouble with it. That is how I feel about the coding that we did in class.

Things to Remember

There are a few things that I hope I never forget about being the age that I am now. The first thing is that I have had some really awesome teachers this year and I don't think I could forget about them. The next thing is that it is my last year before I go to high school. It is also the first year that I have played football. It is the first time I have taken a class for high school credits. This past year was the first year of me being a teenager. Finally, it is the year that I had my first girlfriend, and that is something that I know I won't forget. These are all really good things that I hope I don't forget about this age.

Huge Water Slide

In Kansas City, Missouri, there is a new water slide, the Verruckt Water Slide. Verruckt means insane in German. It is now the biggest water slide in the world. It is 17 stories tall, beating the previous highest by 3 stories. It takes 264 steps to climb up to the top. Once you get to the top, you and four other people all get in a raft and ride down. Once you get to the bottom of the slide, a conveyor belt takes the raft back up to the top. The creator, Jeff Henry, is called the Water Wizard. He is called this because he creates many insane water rides. This ride looks insane and would be fun to ride because it goes faster than a car on the highway.

Mini Windmills

In the article "These Ultra-Cute Micro Windmills May Soon Charge Your Devices" it talks about how two professors in Arlington at the University of Texas made mini windmills.  The windmills are less than 2 millimeters wide at there widest point. It is only 2 millimeters tall. At 100 microns it is as thin as a human hair. The mini windmills are made of nickel alloy, and because it takes such a small amount of the alloy, they will be relatively cheap. The creators have not released how fast the mini windmills can create energy. So, if you ever decide that you need some windmills, this is what you need.
